Dissertation Research, Disaster and Organizational Sociology, Northeastern University

  • Examines how small, community-based nonprofits build and sustain organizational resilience across recurring disruptions, including natural disasters, economic downturns, political, and technological upheaval
  • Uses a mixed-methods design combining in-depth interviews with CBO leaders across the U.S. (n=50) and a follow-up survey
2025 – 2026

Pre-Doctoral Fellow, Global Resilience Institute, Northeastern University

  • First authored $400K NSF Science of Organizations Proposal (under review) with PIs Dr. Raub and Dr. Daniel Aldrich
  • Assisted with co-development of tool to make NOAA's National Water Model more accessible for community decision-makers in VT and MO
  • Led data collection and analysis of community resilience indicators for NOAA-funded project in the US Virgin Islands
2023 – 2024

Research Assistant, NSF-funded: Private Governance and Climate Change

  • Investigated individual-level responses to weather and climate pressures along Gulf Coast
  • Coordinated fieldwork in Galveston and Brownsville, TX
  • Led qualitative data collection and analysis for multi-researcher team: conducted in-person interviews, managed intercoder reliability, and coded data in ATLAS.ti
2021 – 2023

Research Assistant, NSF-funded: Innovation Networks: The Creation and Diffusion of Gender Equity Ideas in Universities

  • Contributed to study design and implementation examining how professional networks shape organizational change during crisis using a Communities of Practice framework
  • Conducted 46 interviews with university administrators and faculty; coded and analyzed full dataset in ATLAS.ti
  • Second author on two peer-reviewed publications
